How do you like to keep active? What activities do you enjoy the most?

3 activities I try to do at least one of these once a day – Cycling, running and walking.

Why do you feel it is important to lead a physically active lifestyle?

Keeping fit has always been a huge part of my life, competing with others and trying to always take a step further when training.

How does the Active Hub platform support your physical movement?

The competition element gives me motivation to try and out compete my colleagues. Seeing others putting in huge efforts to try and get that 1st place crown is something I enjoy taking part in and trying to win myself. Makes the work place competition fun.

How has participating in Active Hub events helped increase your engagement with other colleagues?

I have seen other people compete against me as individuals and as teams against us. It’s great to work as a team to try and win and gives us all in depth statistical talking points. Being at work usually consists of work talk but the active hub has seen us all on the same level with the same goals no matter what position you are in the organization.

Has having the Active Hub in place via your employer enabled you to lead a more active lifestyle?

Yes 100%. 4 people in my team participate in the challenges every day as a group and as individuals.

What is your current active goal?

I am currently working towards 1% club September 15 mins activity per day and Team Acorn 1000km challenge. I have completed the Fresh start September 30km and Stride through September. I am trying to be better than yesterday every day.

Having the determination and motivation to do better than yesterday.
